We designed this policy around three commitments: keeping our policies readable and easy to find, simplifying data practices for security and clarity, and meeting the reasonable expectations of the people who use the Services.

The extension: collects no information. Your hydration goal, reminder schedule, sound and style preferences, and daily glass count are stored only on your own device using the browser’s extension storage, and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Direct provision (website): if you email us for support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and the contents of your message.

Automatic collection (website): when you visit brimwater.app, standard, privacy-respecting web analytics may record aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, approximate region, browser type, and referring page. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

Cookies and tracking technologies: the extension uses none. Our website uses only the minimal cookies or local storage needed to function and to gather the aggregate analytics described above; it does not use advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.

Any information we receive is used solely to operate and improve the Services — to respond to your support requests, keep the website running, and understand in aggregate how it is used. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We do not sell or rent your information. We may share limited information with the service providers that host our website and email (for example, our hosting and analytics providers), strictly to operate the Services on our behalf, or where required by law. The extension shares nothing, because it collects nothing.

The extension contains no analytics. Our website may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to measure traffic. This data is not tied to your identity and is never combined with anything from the extension.

Because the extension stores everything locally, you are always in full control: clearing the extension’s data or uninstalling it removes everything from your device. For any information you have sent us by email, you may request access, correction, or deletion at any time by contacting us. Residents of the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions have additional rights under applicable data-protection law.

Our website and email providers may process limited information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable data-protection law. The extension transfers no data anywhere.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information our website handles. Keeping your hydration data on your own device is itself the strongest protection — it never travels over the network. That said, no electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The extension keeps your data on your device for as long as the extension is installed; removing it deletes that data. Any support emails are retained only as long as needed to help you and to keep our records, or as required by law.

Our website may link to third-party sites, such as the Chrome Web Store. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this policy as the Services evolve. We will post any changes here and revise the date above. Material changes will be highlighted as required by law.
